Electrical Contracting

Electrical Contracting is the largest division within EDSS and is primarily responsible for the projects page of this website. This division is run by an experienced Construction Manager who oversees a group of skilled Project Managers, who in turn direct our project teams out in the field. The Electrical Contracting division are involved primarily in electrical installations and the coordination of other EDSS divisions that are required within projects scope of works. Major Construction, Industrial, Commercial and Government projects are the focus areas of this division with previous experience in the residential housing market.

With the present focus of Education Queensland being on the upgrade of the electrical infrastructure of many schools in Queensland, Project Services and Q Build have been managing a multitude of projects which EDSS has been involved with. With these projects set to be ongoing well into 2006/2007, EDSS are looking to be one of the primary contractors performing these works.

Electrical Service

The EDSS Service Division is made up of specialist trades staff and dedicated Managment Team which gives them the ability to fulfill major service and maintenance contracts for clients such as Q Build. By delivering quality service, fast response times and competative pricing the Service Division continue to exceed all EDSS clients expectations and requirements.

Data & Communications

EDSS's Data & Communications division are certified installers of data, optical fibre and telephone cabling and equipment. Through various projects  comprising the installation of Cat5e - Cat6 data, multimode underground optical fibre and 2pr - 100pr telephone cabling, EDSS staff have become highly skilled and specialists in various fields. With Molex certification, EDSS are successfully completing projects for Q Build and Project Services in government and education facilities throughout South-East Queensland. With the use of state of the art data testers, fibre fusion splicers and a skilled workforce, EDSS Data & Communications division is able to service the needs of all current and future clients.

Security

The Security Division of EDSS has very experienced and qualified staff working both in the field and in management as support. EDSS have certified installers for both Innerrange and Tecom which are two of the largest and most widely used systems in commercial and government installations. These systems are leading edge in technology when it comes to security installations with their capabilities of expansion and diversity in useage being the reason EDSS are associated with these manufacturers.

With the broad knowledge of installation and maintenance on security systems, EDSS are capable of performing any service requirements of our clients. With the additional service of security monitoring offered EDSS have a solution for all security needs.

Switchboards

Our Switchboard Division has been an area of major growth and development within EDSS over the past 6 months. With the construction of switchboards ranging from 400amps to 2500amps and above, we have the ability to provide our clients with a quality product that can be customised to suit their needs.

With the developement of a patented unique rail system within these switchboards, it has created the ability for EDSS to construct and deliver these switchboards in time frames that are amongst the lowest in the industry. By utilising this new rail system the switchboard takes on the ability to house multiple manufacturers equipment and has been designed for future expansion with little modification required.

Our specialist team of Fitters are guided by our experienced Switchboard Manager who personally oversees all facets of the design and construction of each and every switchboard, maintaining quality control of the product supplied to our clients.
